"It is the common fate of the indolent to see their rights become a prey to the active. The condition upon which God hath given liberty to man is eternal vigilance; which condition if he break, servitude is at once the consequence of his crime and the punishment of his guilt." -- JP Curran, 1790

The apex of a deceptive campaign: The $4M Infomercial

This has no doubt been a unique election year. First this. First that. First who? First what? More money raised than ever before. Rampant voter registration fraud. Pathetic noneducational debates. CHANGE. Excessive fear mongering. Unaccounted millions in campaign donations. Experience debated based on endorsements. Terrorists and questionable associations. Zero character or judgement arguments. World tours. European love-fests. Economic turmoil. Campaign suspension. Greek columns. Plumbers. Palin's wardrobe. Wealth spreaders. Red State, Blue State. Media bias. Crazy polls. Predetermined win. Bradley Effect. Anointed victors. End of the Clinton Era. Comeback Kid. Biden gaffes. Palin interviews. Invoked Middle Class. Undefined Middle Class. Dueling Philosophies. Pending post-election legal fights. Supermajority. Infomercials.

Despite all of this, or because all of this, we are 6 days from an election where people know less about the candidates then ever before. People KNOW less about the REAL person they are voting for. Much of this can be attributed to the undisciplined debate moderators. Neither candidate was truly challenged on how they will deliver all of their promises. HOW? "By working with my colleagues in Congress..." blah blah blah. Zero substance.

Again, I encourage everyone to ask real questions about the candidates before they vote. Educate yourself. Don't let polls, infomercials, or endorsements determine your vote. Look at the man and his history, his actions, and his record and decide. Ignore the pinstripes and play ball.

Signing off...JCB

I believe in the 1st Amendment. Say whatever you want. If you're a moron, I may point that out...if I have time. :P
