"It is the common fate of the indolent to see their rights become a prey to the active. The condition upon which God hath given liberty to man is eternal vigilance; which condition if he break, servitude is at once the consequence of his crime and the punishment of his guilt." -- JP Curran, 1790

Obama will not tolerate your insolence!

Great Leader has spoken! All those who dissent (i.e., the Washington Times, Dallas Morning News, New York Post, and any other enemy of the state) are hereby BANISHED from the Obama plane. Ebony and Jet...you guys are cool, stay on board. Drudge, as always, has the scoop!

Meanwhile, I would highly encourage you to contact your Representative and Senators and get them in touch with the American embassy in Belgium. Reports are that that country is holding onto damning tapes of the soon-to-be first lady simply railing against our nation. You might want to see if they will exert some pressure on the LA Times, while you're at it. Tell them you cannot vote for a candidate who doesn't support the truth. Sen. Obama is apparently on tape cohorting with known terrorists, praising their leadership, and the LA Times his going to great lengths to hide this. No one believes this is fair journalism. Arnold Schwarzeneggar tapes were "leaked" the minute the LA Times got ahold of them. There is a concerted effort by the news media to elect a Democrat in 2008. We all know this anyway. The real question is, who is making the concerted effort to control the press?

Thank God for the internet right now. We can see news, look at diverse opinions, and pose questions...although we'll forever be banned from the Obama plane, which will be Air Force One if we don't watch out!

Dissension of opinion is healthy for a Republic, in fact, it's necessary. Americans have a rich tradition, a pioneering mentality, and a strong will for self-sufficiency. We've never relied on the government to do anything for us but simply get out of the way. On a national level, we need some basic functions of government (military, interstate roads, dispute resolution among states, foreign policy guidance, etc). What we don't need is a nanny state, of the elite, for the elite, and for the "common good" of the people.

Top Election YouTube video

The top election YouTube video is a moving endorsement of McCain by an Iraq vet.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/us_elections_2008/7693987.stm Sphere: Related Content

T-H-I-N-K

T-H-I-N-K. Those letters were inscribed on the inside of my baseball glove when I was 6 years old. As a typical young boy, I was prone to distractions on the ball field, and anywhere else. In one game, I actually placed the glove over my face, and ignored the game going on before me. From left field, it didn't seem like I would get much action anyway. My father, a genuine athlete with quite a few accomplishments in his youth, took a permanent marker and wrote those letters across my ball glove. It was meant to be an attention getter during those times when I wandered off into la la land. America needs to use those five letters again.

This is about fundamentals. Change is a meaningless platitude that does nothing to advance our own domestic or foreign policy. Only by having the courage of our convictions can we really move this country forward. Withdrawing from the terrorist battlegrounds in Iraq, Afghanistan, and elsewhere is probably the worst thing we can do. Not only will we cause more losses of lives, and devastation in a region that has probably had enough, we will demonstrate to the terrorists and to those on the fence as to whether they will follow Islamic extremism or the cause of liberty that we are not the superpower we claim to be. Ladies and gentlemen, we are the beacon of hope for a world that is usually on the brink of some great disaster. We've turned the tide in a region that has known warfare and bloodshed for generations, and it is because of the awakening that we experienced on Sept. 11. Our free market economy isn't supposed to be 100% gains; markets fluctuate with time. At no point during the stock market, have we ever had a 10 year period of average losses, and that's a testament to the power and ingenuity of the American people. A vote for Sen. Obama shifts that power away from the people and to the government. He and Bill Clinton may like to talk about growing America from the ground up, instead of the top down, but giving government control to regulate and rule more and more parts of our lives is not growing the country from the ground up. It's detrimental to our productivity, and jobs. A liberal co-worker asked me to give him one reason to vote for McCain. I asked him "does your company earn more than $250k per year?" His wide eyed looked of surprise demonstrated that, for the first time, he may have been on the emotional bandwagon of change. Jump off the bandwagon, people, and get on the straight talk express. Think about specifics, and try to understand what higher tax rates do to productivity. The 2001 and 2003 tax cuts, passed by Republicans, increased revenue at a time when we desperately needed it. If tax cuts increase revenue, what do tax increases do?

Think.

The Age of Stupidity Arrives Early

I'd like to say that I'm surprised, but frankly I'm not. We've seen poll after poll basically proclaiming Obama the victor. We've seen newspapers making the earliest of early calls, and we've heard from foreign heads of state calling for Obama's victory in the best interest of international diplomacy (ie, American weakness = international diplomacy). We see a new poll from the LA Times (of all places) showing that 6% of the people in Florida and 3% of those in Ohio WHO ALREADY VOTED don't even know who they voted for.

The apex of a deceptive campaign: The $4M Infomercial

This has no doubt been a unique election year. First this. First that. First who? First what? More money raised than ever before. Rampant voter registration fraud. Pathetic noneducational debates. CHANGE. Excessive fear mongering. Unaccounted millions in campaign donations. Experience debated based on endorsements. Terrorists and questionable associations. Zero character or judgement arguments. World tours. European love-fests. Economic turmoil. Campaign suspension. Greek columns. Plumbers. Palin's wardrobe. Wealth spreaders. Red State, Blue State. Media bias. Crazy polls. Predetermined win. Bradley Effect. Anointed victors. End of the Clinton Era. Comeback Kid. Biden gaffes. Palin interviews. Invoked Middle Class. Undefined Middle Class. Dueling Philosophies. Pending post-election legal fights. Supermajority. Infomercials.

Despite all of this, or because all of this, we are 6 days from an election where people know less about the candidates then ever before. People KNOW less about the REAL person they are voting for. Much of this can be attributed to the undisciplined debate moderators. Neither candidate was truly challenged on how they will deliver all of their promises. HOW? "By working with my colleagues in Congress..." blah blah blah. Zero substance.

Again, I encourage everyone to ask real questions about the candidates before they vote. Educate yourself. Don't let polls, infomercials, or endorsements determine your vote. Look at the man and his history, his actions, and his record and decide. Ignore the pinstripes and play ball.

The little campaign that could...

While every pundit and MSM news outlet continues to write-off McCains' chances, he continues to chip away at BO's lead.

With a week left to go, it is amazing the tide of pessimistic reporting for McCain. Given that his gap in polls is within the margin of error and that he is closing the gap (even in polls that had him behind 10% last week), I think he is making a late surge and could win this election!! Some of the articles I've read today help solidify my optimism.

Rasmussen has him within 3%
Gallup has him within 2%
RCP average (greatly skewed by the +10% polls lately) has him within 5.9%

Dick Morris makes that case that the remaining undecideds will break for McCain

State of the Race: McCain's limited opportunities

This is where we are at with 8 days to go.

McCain has to hold Ohio and Florida, which I think he has a good shot at doing. If he loses either, this could be an early night.

According to my map below, there are 36 EV up for grabs.

As Virginia goes, so will this election. If Barack wins Virgina, McCain will have to win the other 4 to tie at 269. If McCain wins VA, then he needs either of the 2 western states. Not impossible given his Western roots. Barack has put a lot of money into VA and CO (4 to 1 in some markets) and will probably turn CO blue. Dallas, get to work!!

NH is a wild card with McCain's history in the state. I think Barack's socialist heart will hurt him a lot in the state with the motto "Live Free or Die". Other wildcards are the congressional districts of NE and ME. McCain is running well in the one ME district that could get him 1 EV. This might make the difference.

No Barney, that's not the type of drilling we need!

Just remember, ladies and gentlemen, especially my fellow residents of Colorado, THIS MAN WILL BE UNCHECKED IN THE CONGRESS WITH AN OBAMA ADMINISTRATION:

Rep. Frank calls for 25% cut in military spending.

While liberal "pundits" proclaim that President Bush was in charge of the country during the financial meltdown, therefore, he MUST be to blame, conflicts of interest on the other side of the aisle are blatantly ignored by all but Foxnews. While simultaneously calling for a 25% reduction in military spending, Rep. Frank has criticized Republicans for failings of the Democratic leadership! When Republicans cried out that Fannie and Freddie had no solid business practices as a foundation, Democrats proclaimed that they were "pissed" and denounced any attacks on Fannie and Freddie as racism or bigotry. Meanwhile, Barney frank is presumably still confused on the type of drilling we need in Congress. Fox reported recently that Barney Frank, an openly homosexual member of Congress, was involved in a relationship with a top executive from the top perpetrator of our financial meltdown.

**Note** The picture is just one found on the internet, and not proof of some conflict of interest...read the stories to find out more.

Of course no one (but FOX) reported that President Bush sought to fix this crisis in the very first year of his presidency! Barney Frank had an obvious conflict of interest, if reports of his gay relationship are true. In fact, he should be investigated to the fullest extent of the law!

Watch Dems get "pissed" at the audacity of the Republicans to question the great Fannie and Freddie (remember, this is a good vote-buying scheme for Democrats)...this was in 2004:

Dueling Philosophies

Senator Obama's main website says that it is "Powered by Hope." As
the self-professed change-agent in this election cycle, Obama's campaign has
effectively used the meaningless platitudes of "hope" and "change" without
much in the way of any real substantive challenge on the issues. Although
'hope' has many meanings, it's essentially wishing that you will get a
favorable outcome; it's calling on Lady Luck to take your side. But hope
implies much more than luck. Hope implies that you are to be acted upon,
rather than act upon something. There's something disturbingly humanist and
secular about a campaign built on hope. It's almost as if they are saying
that we are in some cosmic accident, while contending that we are capable of
building a utopian society.

The 19th Century Humanist, Robert Ingersoll, said that "the hope of science
is the perfection of the human race. The hope of theology is salvation of a
few and the damnation of almost everybody." Ingersoll's false assertions
about theology and science are central to the arguments over the issues not
just in the current campaigns, but in our national and world philosophy.
Today's liberal ideology, nothing like the classical Lockean theories that
were once called liberal, call for some great hope in science while
simultaneously mocking a belief in God or religious virtue. Among Senator
Obama's followers, at least according to his own campaign website, are
"Humanists for Obama" and "Atheists for Obama." Both groups advocate for
some anti-religious utopian society, or even anarchy. Their tendency is to blame religion for the crimes and wars of the world, while willfully failing to acknowledge that God gave us a civilized world out of chaos. Central to their beliefs are the
fact that 1) there is no God, and 2) without God there are no consequences.

London was recently bombarded by an Atheist Propaganda stunt that
put posters on that city's famous red double-decker buses saying, "There's
probably no God, so stop worrying and enjoy your life." This secular
progressive ideal of no consequences embodies the entire left-wing agenda.
It's just easier to "enjoy your life" when you know there are no punishments
for your sins, crimes, or transgressions. If something bad happens, simply
blame someone else or blame society. Democrats tend to claim that those who
do the things that make them successful in life have somehow won "life's
lottery," while people who make poor decisions are "less fortunate." This
propensity towards attributing Lady Luck to everything in life is what brings
us these meaningless slogans like "hope" and "change."

Let the Liberals have 'hope.' We have FAITH. Central to our beliefs are
that God created the universe, while giving us the freedom to act and choose
how we experience the gift of life. We know that as long as people are free
to choose, some will choose poorly. We cannot eradicate hate through
legislation, or poverty through socialist governments. There have been many
philosophies in the history of the world, some more popular than others.
However, in all of the ancient writings and more contemporary discussions,
most issues come down to science and religion. How you view these two is
integral to how you view the universe.

Science is a useful tool to explain the world around us. To the secular
progressives, it is the ultimate search for truth. Liberals within this
group feel that religion is merely a man-made construct to fill in the gaps
that science has yet to explain. They point to ancient Greek or Roman
mythology as an example. People could not understand astrophysics, so they
assumed the moon and Sun were Gods. Science came along and gave us insight!
There's an egotistical element to those who view science as the absolute
truth, because there is an assumption that the human mind can basically
figure everything out. Morality begins to decay society from the
inside out.

Religion, however, relies on faith and humility. God does not present
Himself to us on CNN to prove, scientifically, His existence. Rather, we are
given an entire universe, and our very own existence and the freedom to
decide whether or not we believe. We were designed, I believe, to learn and
grow. Science is a useful tool to discover God's universe, but it is only a
man-made construct that can at best approximate absolute truths. Pure
mathematics, for example, is a wonderful abstract concept that has served us
well, as a human race. It is not, however, absolute. There are infinitely smaller and smaller decimals that can only offer approximations to absolute reality.
Our concept of space-time has changed through the ages, and Einstein himself
struggled with these concepts. His attempt to construct a unified field
theory failed, and no one else, including brilliant minds like Stephen
Hawking, can really achieve such a lofty goal. Our understanding of
genetics, medicine, biology, physics, chemistry, or any other field may
evolve, but there has (to date) been zero evidence that we physically evolve.
Every new iteration of our body of knowledge may bring us closer or further
away from absolute truth, but it's not something we can ever know in our
lives. We're often told that we genetically resemble our primate cousins the
ape at an astonishing 98%. We're often told that this is "proof" that we are
so similarly related to them, that Darwinism has to be true, and therefore,
religion is false. What else could this possibly tell us? Perhaps our own
greatest attempts at genetics can't even tell the difference between a human
and a monkey, genetically speaking.

St. Thomas Aquinas said that "nothing is in the intellect that was not first
in the senses." He opined that God allows us to have independent knowledge
but that our very capacity to consider Him suggests that we are at least in
some way inspired. Is this so impossible to believe? God exists
independently of our own abstract creations, such as time. In every
infinitesimal fraction of a second, He has an eternity.

On election day, consider the consequences of your vote. While God may have an eternity, you and I do not. Sphere: Related Content

Barack Obama's "Middle Class"??

In a previous post I wrote about the questions of BO's tax plan. He repeatedly defends that no one in the "Middle Class" will receive a tax increase. Let's examine these comments a little further.

First, the term "Middle Class" is a politically deceptive term. It is an undefined group in society that is typically invoked to represent the majority. But, how is the Middle the majority? Let's examine. If you are someone of lower income, the Middle Class is something you aspire to. It is the stable, hard-working, family oriented heart of America that we all want to self-identify with. For those of higher income, you aspire to make more money, but still want to associate yourself with the societial norms of the "Middle Class". Probably because that is what you grew up with. All of this is why you hear the term "Middle Class" used whenever a politician wants to potray the "good" people of this country. Why would you want "Middle Class" taxes to go down, you are part of the "Middle Class", right? Right? How do you know?

Second, the "Middle Class" has intentionally been left undefined. This year we see Barack play with the ceiling by defining it as $250K. This is of course and inclusion tactic to help more well-to-do people associate themselves with his plans. You will never hear him, or any other politician, define the floor of the "Middle Class". Not because they would set it low to include those lower income earners aspiring to be included, but because the focus would be on those outside of this definition. Why not me?

Let's run the numbers on this definition of $250K:

Only 2% of income earners make more than $250K. They are already paying a Federal tax rate of 33-35%. Add in State and local taxes and its probably between 65-75%, now. In order for BO to make his revenues to pay for all of his new spending, where is the money going to come from? Are you going to raise the top 2% rate? How would you respond to 90% of your income being taxed? Well, when CA raised state taxes on this top bracket, they moved their money out-of-state. Causing a 7% decline in state revenues in a single year. Think this won't happen at the Federal Level?? Guess what, it already is!! Our corporate tax rates are the 2nd highest in the world. Most of the corporations in the U.S. have off-shore tax shelters where they funnel as much income as possible to save. And people wonder why companies want to outsource. Not to India and China because of cheap labor, but Ireland, Poland, or Austria where they can manufacture a certain percentage of their product with skilled and educated labor and if that percentage is high enough, they can then attribute more of the income from that product to that countries' tax rates.

Back to income taxes, if BO wants to increase taxes in the future his revenue pool is limited to the 2%, IF he keeps his promises. The dangers of increasing taxes in a recession aside (ahem, Herbert Hoover), he will have no choice but to raise your taxes. How? By not calling it a tax increase but, by repealing the evil Bush Tax cuts. See the images below, the second from the Tax Foundation which will show you the impact of the Bush Tax Cuts. They broke the numbers at $200K, so on average if you were making less than $200k your taxes were decreased by 20.24% (Non-AMT) and 12.84% (AMT). Thank you President Bush!!

Still think your taxes won't go up??

By the ceiling definition, can we assume that the floor of the "Middle Class" is anyone above 2%? Meaning that 96% of income earners are in the "Middle Class"?? No wonder this is the favorite definitive term used by politicians, we all aren't just psychologically associating ourselves with the "Middle Class", we are the "Middle Class"! So who isn't in the "Middle Class"? The richest of the rich (policians themselves) and the poorest of the poor (the receivers of our wealth). What a game!!

Those are the facts!!

What do you know about Barack Obama?

A question I hope every voter asks before voting is; "What do I know about this candidate?" "Are they like me?" "Do they stand for my principles?"

I have previously written about this on this blog; and I am starting to truly beleive that BO has some scary skeletons in his closet. The secrecy of his campaign is questionable at best.

Do you know who Barack Obama is? Do you know what he truly stands for? What his principles and faith are? If so, please tell me because the evidence is inconclusive.

What concerns me more is that he has a strong chance of being elected, and people know very little about this man!! I get it. I was initially impressed and rooted for him against HRC in the primaries. Mostly because I was salivating over the end of the Clintons and enjoying the entertainment of watching Bill and Hill skwerm. But, then I started asking myself about my identity and his. And I can't seem to locate his.

So this is 1) a plea for help in identifying BO and 2) a challenge to those who will be voting to ask these same questions.

I offer a lengthy but worthwhile read from Neal Boortz (Libertarian talk radio host). He is by no means a Republican stooge for those who categorize mediums absolutely. Take a few mintues to read and ASK QUESTIONS!!

Resurrection of Harry Truman

I urge all of you to get familiar with the biography and history of one Harry S. Truman. We are going to hear his name a lot in the next 3 months for 2 reasons:
  1. If McCain makes this comeback, it will be the equivalent of the Truman-Dewey in 1948. Dewey was ahead late and all of the media had called it in his favor. Dewey was running against a very unpopular President (Truman himself) and the media loved him.
  2. As Bush exits, many pundits will invoke Truman as a comparison in low approval ratings at the end. Historians will make the comparison that Bush will be judged much kinder by history then his contemporaries for making the tough decisions despite negative public opinion, much like Truman. Bush will be compared to Truman in his presently perceived ineptitude, but legacy will show a man challenged by emotional presence rather than an ignorance or lack of intelligence.

BREAKING NEWS: Barack not in Hawaii

Last night CNN reported breaking news that Barack was taking a few days away from the campaign to fly to Hawaii to be near his ailing grandmother. Reports are coming in that he is not in Hawaii but Hollywood taping Season 3 for VH1's The Pickup Artist.

Apparently the hosts of the show, seduction artist Mystery (Erik von Markovik), and his wingmen, Tara and Matador, have been astounded by Barack's talents with the potential voters that they have hired him as a consultant.

Barack, never being one to turn down campaign donations or the spotlight, jumped at the opportunity to display his inner Don Juan. Full details have not been disclosed but leaks of episode themes have started to hit the internet.

Some episode examples:
  • Barack and Mystery train the young apprentices how to swoon young college co-eds into a grass-roots voter registration scheme.
  • Barack and Mystery train the young apprentices how to be suttle but expeditious in relieving the weary workers of the weight of their paychecks while engaging them with deceptive oratory about "the greater good".
  • Barack and Mystery train the young apprentices how to scare up support for universal healthcare among the elderly through frequent disturbing visits to retirement homes. All while avoiding comparisons to the failed VA medical system, inaccessible European systems, and any reference to the fines imposed on those who can't afford the mandated coverage (ahem Massachusetts).
  • Barack and Mystery train the young apprentices how to manipulate the various media outlets into a surrogate of their choosing. They start with the easy targets, the big U.S. TV networks. The challenge continues to become more difficult as the encounter radio and the internet. The winner of the challenge must be able to silence dissension across all media channels and impose a fairness doctrine.

Riveting television to be sure!!

Joe "Nostradamus" Biden

The Great Prognosticator has spoken! If Barack is elected, the world will test his "mettle" within the first 6 months. So if you want the United States presence in the world to be; weak, untested, and unsteady in Jan. 2009, then Barack is your man!!

BTW, this is coming from Barack's most trusted foreign policy advisor!

This clearly only helps 1 person, Joe Biden.

First, it re-focuses the campaigns on foreign policy, executive preparedness, and comfort ability with the candidates as "Commander in Chief". All of these favor McCain.

Second, it sends the message that Barack is untested and the world will need to challenge him. Are we inviting ill-will with BO?

Third, it is a self-aggrandizing statement that is only made so if it were to happen he can say "I told you so".

Lastly, the most troubling possibility is that the campaigns have started to receive their intelligence briefings on the landscape of threats to minimize the ramp up in January. Is Biden hinting at some classified intelligence hypothesis? "I know something you don't know" unless you listen to Leaky Lehay.

Trouble, but may be the opening McCain needs to surge back.

UPDATED: More on the BO campaign finances: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2008/10/the_buying_of_the_presidency_2.html

Where is the media scrutiny or even questions? You heard all about Bush's record breaking financing in 2000 and 2004. The only person that I've heard ask the question "Is Barack buying this election?" has been Newt Gingrich. You should all read his comments from the roundtable on ThisWeek from this past weekend. He was the only one who didn't want to speculate on Barack's transition plans but rather talk about the rest of the election.

A couple of points from Newt:

  1. Look at Reagan's performance in 1980, with very limited resources, when he stayed on the socialism of Jimmy Carter for 2 weeks. It changed the momentum of that election.
  2. The proposed "2nd stimulus package" from Reid/Pelosi would add approx. $1.5T in spending. What impact will adding $1.5T into the market do to inflation??
  3. By BO's definition, the ceiling for Middle Class is making less than $250K. He won't tell us what the floor is because he hasn't promised to not raise taxes on the sub-Middle Class. But by the ceiling definition, only 2% of the U.S. population is above the Middle Class. Their Federal tax rate alone is already 38%. Add in State and local taxes and its is currently as high as 65% depending on where you live. The point is that BO potential growth of revenue is limited unless he breaks his pledge on the $250K mark.
  4. A follow-on to #3. Look at CA. Billions of lost revenue this past year can be attributed to a hand full of individuals who have moved their income out-of-state. A return to Jimmy Carter's 90% tax on upper income people will cause the same off-shoring to tax havens.

The Liberal Mind

My good friends at The People's Cube have an excellent diagram (below) of the liberal mind. This is the culmination of a lot of intense research.

A Liberal Supermajority

Not since 1966, and before that 1933 have we experienced such a devastating occurrence, filibuster proof liberals running the purse, the White House, and the courts!

This wall street journal article illustrates the point that Americans need to know what they are getting. Those of you who just "don't care" about this election cycle better pull your heads out and focus on your House and Senate elections, as well! If we do fail and McCain loses this Presidential election, we'd better hope and pray that we have a Conservative House to get this budget under control (Conservative doesn't always mean Republican, and we need to make sure we're getting the right types of Republicans in office, as well).

For those of you who do not understand the intricacies of the Congress, let put it in some common sense terms. The 435 member House controls the money. Always has, always will. The President can never just make the Congress create a budget that he wants; there is some wheeling and dealing that usually takes place long before we see the final version of a budget. The House needs the Senate to concur before a bill can be presented to the President. With a "supermajority" (2/3), a filibuster can be overruled, Presidential vetoes can be overruled, and the party in that powerful situation can do anything, unchecked. Sphere: Related Content

Paradigm Shift

Late in the 20th century, there were questions over whether we would experience a paradigm shift, away from the industrial age, and into the 'information age.' Today, with the first decade of the 21st century already coming to a close, we no longer ask "if" but "when." The answer is "now." It is inevitable that this nation will face some tough challenges, as we move forward, but we can look back to the historical precedents of other great shifts in our nation's history to take great comfort in where we're headed.

In 1900, about half of all Americans were farmers or involved in agriculture. By 2000 only 1-2% of Americans were farmers or agricultural workers, yet we produce more food per capita than we ever have. We shifted from an agricultural nation to an industrial superpower, and in the process changed the face of liberty not only at home, but abroad. Our industrial might helped us to help our free-thinking allies fight off, and defeat tyrannical dictators, while we were able to prosper at home. Although we have faced some hard times, we have never failed to overcome them. We won't fail now.

We face some stark new realities that are unique to our time, yet we have the national will, and the know-how to tackle the problems we face. We are moving towards an information age, and we are already starting to feel the growing pains. We cannot simply continue to be loose with credit, or let politics play 'Piper' to principles. It has to be the other way around. I'm looking for a candidate that puts principles and country first, and I've found the best option in John McCain. "Change" can't be an empty slogan, but rather a call to action. When the paradigm shift hits full swing, we don't want to be printing money to add to our national debt, because we couldn't cut a pork-barrel program, or because businesses found a better deal in foreign lands. We need to pay off our debt, and start saving. We need to educate our workforce, and simultaneously defend our homeland. We need something new. We need some good common sense.

"We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them." -- Albert Einstein

Now, I'll leave you with a fairly popular presentation that demonstrates some of the realities in this new global economy...shift happens.

John McCain

Barack Obama likes to talk about "fundamental differences" between himself and John McCain. When it all comes down to it, the differences are in principles. In Debate 3, Sen. Obama was schooled in principles when McCain offered example after example of going against his own party in Washington, D.C., when substance mattered more than politics. Sen. Obama could only talk about a few votes that certain liberal lobbyist groups may not have agreed with. He did not cite one instance of going against his own party leadership.

McCain is pro-life. Obama is not. Not only is he not pro-life, he goes so far (to grab as many left-wing votes as possible) to deny medical care for babies that have survived botched abortion attempts.

McCain has fought for this country. Obama has not. McCain was a POW for 5 years, tortured, offered early release, and running in principle, McCain refused to leave his men behind. Others were captured before he was, and by code should have been released first, and he did our nation a great service in serving honorably. Liberals, meanwhile, spit on returning troops from Vietnam and called them baby-killers. Left-wing nuts even bombed the Pentagon and other targets. Domestic terrorists, like the one who had the now famous tea party with Barack Obama (must have been a tea party, b/c we don't have any word from the Obama campaign about that event) are the antithesis of heroes like John McCain.

McCain will cut funding, and gives examples when asked for them (e.g., look at last night's debate when Bob Schieffer pressed McCain to name specific places to make cuts). Obama will never cut funding because it could endanger his vote-buying programs. When pressed for specifics, he could not name them...this is a recurring theme in the Obama camp.

McCain recognizes and understands the current geopolitical situations that affect this nation's security and our citizens' well-being. Obama clearly does not. While his efforts at community organizing, and his urban liberalism play well with his base, it fails to accept that there are threats out there. Obama has called for de-weaponizing space, reducing our nuclear arsenal, and cutting or reducing funding for combat systems. Meanwhile, foreign powers like Iran, N. Korea, etc, are advancing their development of weapons of mass destruction and long range strategic missile technology. Russia is saber rattling to the extent that they have now test-fired missiles closer than ever to us in the Pacific ocean.

McCain understands supply and demand. You don't like high gas prices? Well, what do you think will happen when we increase the tax burden on companies that fill our gas tanks? (Hint for liberals: The answer is not that the "waters will part and gas prices will fall to just below a nickel a gallon under an Obama Administration).

McCain understands that taxing corporations that employ people will mean that people will be unemployed. Sen. Obama's tax cut is essentially nothing from nothing, once millions of Americans are laid off. Perhaps he's talking about tax cuts for foreign workers that get these American jobs. In the 21st century, it's ridiculous to think that America has a restrictive tax policy for businesses. We're supposed to be pro-business, and for free enterprise, yet we tax businesses at a rate more than 3 times other developed nations do! Sphere: Related Content

Biden Attacks Joe the Plumber

This is almost unbelievable, except that it's about JoeBiden shoving his foot somewhere other than his shoe once again. In his latest gaffe, Biden actually attacked Joe the Plumber, as discussed during last night's debate as being disingenuous. Read it here on the left-wing CNN Political Ticker: http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/10/16/biden-questions-notion-of-this-guy-joe-the-plumber/

CNN has the audacity to claim that an average plumber makes $47k according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics...well if Joe employs 5 plumbers he has to make at least $235k BEFORE even paying himself, paying for gas, supplies, trucks/vans, and TAXES. Do you know any small companies with 5 employees? Oh wait, that's right, those are evil rich "fat cat corporations." Attacking the questioner! Is that what we can expect in an Obama/Biden administration?

McCain Scores in the Final Debate

Sen. McCain scored some serious blows in last night's debate. Although we expect that the Drudge poll would show a Republican lead (72% to 27% win for McCain), we are now seeing that even the notoriously left-slanted AOL poll is showing a McCain victory, as well (48% to 45% as of this posting).

Sen. McCain brought up facts and gave specifics over programs he would cut in the federal budget to lower our spending. He only stopped talking about programs because of time constraints, because McCain could go all day on cutting out the pork in gov't. Further, he was accurate in his condemnation of GA Democrat John Lewis's ridiculous comparisons of Republican rallies to racist rallies that were typified by KKK meetings. Meanwhile, Sen. Obama, grasping at straws, brought up a false accusation about people yelling "kill him." The US Secret Service says those accusations are unfounded, and are we now holding candidates accountable for what their supporters say? That's a can of worms the Democrats don't want to open, I assure you.

Anticipation for Obamanomics

More signs of the coming revolution...

As Obama has now started tying free market capitalism with the failed Bush years, he will continue to push his socialist agenda.

His friends are wringing their hands in anticipation!!

Castro has endorsed BO: http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/05/26/castros-stinging-endorsement/

Iran sees the end of Capitalism: http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=081015152055.72llwkbo&show_article=1

The Leftist Australian PM agrees with Obama that Capitalism is a failed practice: http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=081015113127.9uzhf7lf&show_article=1

Obama has clearly stated his beliefs that Healthcare, College Education, etc are RIGHTS!! He has not refuted his intentions to redistributing wealth. He continues to propose additional spending and control from the Government. Because he believes that socialist-style Government is the answer to all problems. See a problem, spend. This is all intended to work towards a Dependent Society. When government is the answer, you become dependent upon it rather then yourself. If you are dependent upon it, why would you vote against anyone who advocates anything other than continue dependence and expansion of it.

Troubling times ahead if McCain can't turn this around.

Too Little, Too Late?

McCain hit his mark tonight. He needed to be John McCain in the first debate. Hopefully this is the turning point.

McCains' hits:
  1. He finally, clearly distanced himself from Bush with his response, "I am not President Bush". He needed to do this early, BO has been running a campaign against Bush and is winning.
  2. He articulated the fundamental reality that BO is a left-wing extremist. He clearly hit the point over and over again that BO believes Government is the answer to all problems, tax and spend, redistribution of wealth, and the coalescing of power in government. BO never refuted his radicalism. BO never distanced himself from the far-left wing of the party.
  3. He highlighted that with Dem. in control and BO at the helm, spending will only increase. He tied BO to Herbert Hoover. Who, as BO plans to do, increase taxes and limit free trade forcing a recession into a depression.
  4. He raised the question of trust and BO judgement by association with Ayers and ACORN. It is late in the campaign for character question such as Ayers to have much impact. But, BOs ties to ACORN will continue to unravel. Now that McCain has made it an issue, we are likely to hear very little about it from the MSM ever again.

McCains' misses:

  1. BO set a trap with his "let's talk about issues" statement, which McCain followed up with the Ayers/ACORN associations. This may play badly as a negativity that has plagued McCain recently.
  2. He had other opportunities to highlight the key point that BO is a socialist, and didn't. Such as BO education proposals including coalescing more control and increase spending with the Government.
  3. His closing. He didn't tie it all together and make the final pitch that he is the experienced and BO unproven and dangerous. He could have delivered the trust and stewardship of the peoples' money better and articulated once again that this election is a referendum on free market capitalism.

Hopefully this ignites a tide in McCains' favor. He has ground to cover and he started the journey tonight. Hopefully he can continue to be the warrior and have a good closing game.

Your thoughts?

Barack is Robin Hood in Sheeps' Clothes.

There should be not doubt in any ones' minds now that BO is a socialist at heart. Yesterday he responded to an independent in the hand-shake line who asked about taxes, with his belief that spreading the wealth makes everyone better. This is crazy left-wing talk, and it goes to the heart of his beliefs.

Here we go again. People!! Stop listening to the campaign rhetoric and open you eyes to the actions of the past. They are the only true barometer for where a candidate may lead. BO has been the most liberal member of the Senate. He has close associations with radical leftist people, and isn't ashamed of their beliefs because he shares them.

McCain needs to call BO out tonight on this issue. He needs to be tough and firm and make it crystal clear that BO favors redistributing your wealth.

Barack Obama is a Socialist. The leadership if the Democrats in congress are socialists. We are about to hand this country over to them! I haven't seen a strong opposition leader from the congressional Republicans, which leaves John McCain as the only hope. He hasn't been a laissez-faire economist (the same can be said for his contemporary Republicans), but he is a hardened spending hawk. We need him NOW!! We need his Reaganesque qualities. Y

With the election of Barack Obama, we will certainly see a dramatic shift in economic practicality by our leadership. With majorities in both houses of congress and BO at the wheel, there will be no stopping them from reverting us to New Deal-style Keynesian economics that Reagan saved us from.

Premature Evacuation

In looking at Sen. Obama's policies, such as calling for the withdrawal of our troops in Iraq while Sen. McCain was calling for the now successful surge, or quickly abandoning our free market traditions for a socialist style system every time the DOW has a down day, I've made a diagnosis.

Sen. Obama and the Liberals suffer from Premature Evacuation Syndrome.

Biden's Creative Use for Rosary Beads

I've recently come across a few blogs claiming that Sen. Biden once said that he would shove rosary beads down someone's throat (because he's a 'good' Catholic after all, with his pro-abortion record in the Senate). I figured that perhaps this was taken out of context, and sought to do my own research of the quote. Sadly for Joe Biden, it is entirely and absolutely true that he made such a statement. Here's the actual story from 2005.

About 2/3 of the way down you'll find the following quote from Sen. Biden:

"The next Republican that tells me I'm not religious I'm going to shove my rosary beads down their throat." -- Sen. Biden, 2005

Sometimes I wonder if we right-thinking people should just stop talking for a little while and let the Democrats and ultra-leftists make all of our points for us? Sphere: Related Content

Power and Importance of Religion

Worldnetdaily.com is reporting on some research findings by Brigham Young University out in Utah. BYU looked at a ton of data from nearly 20,000 adolescents, and found that a staggering 50% reduction in the likelihood of drug use by kids/teens who have religion in their lives. One of the researchers, Stephen Bahr, said that "the power of peers is less among youths who are religious." [my emphasis added]

This is an important issue during an election year or not. The liberal (and libertarian) answer is to legalize drugs, and not punish people for things they do. It's much easier to blame society, and that's what liberals tend to do. Well, although I don't hold any advanced degrees in Psychology, I believe that there are basically three levels of development for all people.

1) conditioned response (Pavlov's dog, etc). Children, for example, know that they may be scolded for taking cookies before dinner based on experience, so they react accordingly. Animals typically rely on conditioned response for most of their cognitive functions.

2) social order, or social acceptance. Based on Maslow's hierarchy of needs, people need food, shelter, and security before higher level things such as 'job satisfaction' or something along those lines. This is where peer pressure gets involved. Teenagers are especially susceptible to this, and they simply "go with the flow." If everyone else is doing it, then it's fine. This is where liberals stop developing.

3) a true moral compass. An intrinsic knowledge of right and wrong is the highest level of human development, and I don't think that everyone gets there. I don't think that most people get there. How many times have you stopped doing something that you knew was probably right because you were afraid to offend, or you were afraid it would be 'taken the wrong way.'? Is that the true definition of right and wrong? Appeasing?

Most of our politicians exist in the second realm, and I can definitely say that Sen. Obama, and many liberals, are that way, as well. Many Republicans politicians are also stuck in that zone of thinking, but McCain has proven himself to be principled. He doesn't equivocate on answers, and he simply tells you like it is (whether you like it or not). That's indicative of someone who has achieved the third level of development, and believe me, he's earned it. Sphere: Related Content

Liberal intellectualism at its best (McCain supporters document their walk through Manhattan!)

This is a classic. McCain supporters carrying signs walk through the 9th level of Hell...well, Manhattan's streets, but it's about the same for a Conservative. Just take a look at how the open-minded, inclusive, peace-loving lefties handle people of different viewpoints!

Of course there's a general theme here with liberal "protests." Gov. Palin handled this one nicely:

It's nothing new. Mitt Romney dealt with liberal AP Reporters earlier this year:

Republicans are racist!

This tired old Democrat argument has worn thin with most free-thinking people, but there are still some pretty dumb voters out there! Georgia Democrat John Lewis threw out this little gem according to CNN today when talking about the McCain/Palin ticket:

"George Wallace never threw a bomb. He never fired a gun, but he created the climate and the conditions that encouraged vicious attacks against innocent Americans who were simply trying to exercise their constitutional rights. Because of this atmosphere of hate, four little girls were killed on Sunday morning when a church was bombed in Birmingham, Alabama."

Liberal media pundits criticized the McCain/Palin campaign for actually bringing up a true fact about Sen. Obama's association with a known domestic terrorist, yet they still see fit to print this kind of garbage from Rep. Lewis. McCain's crime is being Conservative. Rep. Lewis, you're really reaching now, but at the same time you're showing your party's true inner thought processes.

Democrats are for freedom of speech, as long as they agree with it. They are for freedom of religion, as long as it's not Christianity, and they are for human rights, as long as you're old enough to speak up and vote or be exploited for political gain...if you're a baby born after a botched abortion, the concepts of 'human' rights do not apply as far as the libs are concerned.

Lincoln was a Republican, liberal boneheads. Wallace was a Southern DEMOCRAT.

Dem Supervisor: Both. It's actually both. It was cooling in the 70's, and that didn't work well enough to shut down corrupt capitalists, so we are now trying warming. It's much more effective.

Dem Trainee: Well, what about when we get record cold?

Dem Supervisor: You see, that's actually global warming, as well. Basically it goes like this. When we have a hot day in July, that's global warming because, well, it's warm out. However, cold days in October, well that's also warming because the planet is making up for those hot days. It's really simple.

Dem Trainee: Ah, I see. What causes global warming?

Dem Supervisor: Well, it's basically jobs. The more productive society is, the more they drive. Airplanes are the worst, because of the large 'carbon footprint.'
