"It is the common fate of the indolent to see their rights become a prey to the active. The condition upon which God hath given liberty to man is eternal vigilance; which condition if he break, servitude is at once the consequence of his crime and the punishment of his guilt." -- JP Curran, 1790

Press Conference Gaffe and Democratic True Colors

President-elect Obama definitely showed his ability to reach across the aisle in his first Presidential press conference...that is his ability to reach across the aisle and flip off the other side! He avoided answering directly about tax hikes during the current economic crisis, failed to take a question from Foxnews (while hitting almost every other major media outlet), and even saw fit to make fun of Nancy Reagan of all people. It was an off-the-cuff remark, and one that he apparently apologized directly to Mrs. Reagan for, but I tend to believe it's more of a Freudian slip. The liberal mentality requires you to really believe that you are smarter, and better able to run people's lives than they are. Those who represent different ideas are to be made fun of, and definitely not to be tolerated. Diversity should only be superficial (e.g., skin color, national origin, etc). The "diverse" crowd should tow the liberal line, though. Do you think the Washington Times will have a place on Air Force One, or have we gone completely to a fascist government?

On another note, it looks like Senator Reid and the Kingdom of the Petty Democrats is preparing to ouster Senator Lieberman from his chairmanships. This can be initiated by Reid, but requires an up or down vote among the party. We all know how petty and ignorant Sen. Reid can be, but let's see how the rest of the party reacts. I find it somewhat gratifying to see a political party start to show its true colors before inauguration day. Joe the Independent, join the GOP, because we're taking this country back after the people suffer from a few months of buyer's remorse. I'm sure you'll get a chairmanship back. 1. Just remember the liberal definition of diversity; a bunch of people who think alike but look different. It goes hand in hand with their definition of bipartisanship...one party rule while the minority shuts up.
