"It is the common fate of the indolent to see their rights become a prey to the active. The condition upon which God hath given liberty to man is eternal vigilance; which condition if he break, servitude is at once the consequence of his crime and the punishment of his guilt." -- JP Curran, 1790

"A Nation of Cowards." -- AG Holder

"In things racial we have always been, and continue to be...a nation of cowards." -- Attorney General of the United States

I honestly don't even need to give much of a response here. AG Holder's words speak volumes, so I ask Offering Common Sense readers, some of the most tuned in, and acutely aware blog readers on the internet, what do you think about our new Attorney General and his comments? You'll have to try to step past the steaming pile of hypocrisy that he left for you to achieve some objectivity, of course. Sphere: Related Content

  1. Another pep-talk from America-loving Team Obama- Most of the doomsday rhetoric from this administration has a purpose, like preparing the ground for big far-left legislation.

What's up, Eric? New quotas of some sort? Reparations?

And might that reluctance to speak our minds have to do with affirmative action quotas and discrimination lawsuits from your pals the trial attorneys, Mr. Holder?

It is interesting to note that Holder, who served as deputy attorney general in the Clinton Administration, was instrumental in the 2001 pardon of international FBI-Top-10-Wanted-List fugitive and Clinton supporter Marc Rich... where it appears he took action to please Bill Clinton, and of-course aid his own career, rather than any consideration of "justice". Nothing brave about that-

More recently, he was Gov. Blagojevich's pick to sort out a mess involving Illinois' long-dormant casino license. Blagojevich and Holder appeared together at a March 2004 news conference to announce Holder's role as "special investigator to the Illinois Gaming Board"- a post that was to pay him and his Washington, D.C. law firm up to $300,000.

Holder, however, omitted that event from his 47-page response to a Senate Judiciary Committee questionnaire-- an "oversight" that he said he "plans to correct"... but only after a Chicago Sun-Times inquiry uncovered the omission, which was right in the middle of the Blagojevich controversy.

Perhaps he just forgot about such a large, relevant event in his confirmation process?

I'm sure it wasn't "cowardice" or anything like that...

  2. Thanks Dallas-

I already had a couple hits from your site, and of course I have you on my blog-roll, as well. I find your site informative, you are knowledgable and informative in areas that I could learn more about... we all have our strengths and focus.

I have had some success with mine for sure (founded on the day after the election), but wish to be more effective with networking... I just started to distribute this clickable button to my GOP allies out there.

Unfortunately, your comment box won't let me put this HTML in it, it's doesn't like the "border" tag or something... if you could email me real quick, I can send it your way.

Thanks again, Dallas- and you keep-up the good work, too.

    Kind Regards,

    James Yanke
